Unlike many traditional private equity firms, Creo is able to deploy capital in situations that call for investment partners with more than just deep pockets. The firm looks to leverage its group of management professionals, operating partners, industry and financial contacts, and its strong track record of creating value for its companies in working with businesses facing periods of change. Such change may include a transfer of ownership or management, rapid growth, customer concentration, turnaround, or other special situations requiring capital and support from a true financial partner.
We specialize in special situation investing, where creative capital structures are developed to maximize return while properly rewarding sellers and management. In conjunction with our flexibility in investing, experience in turnaround and restructurings, and ability to fund quickly, we have a dedicated distressed investing practice, where investments are made in companies with real assets and intrinsic value, but that are currently facing periods of financial or operational distress.
Growth Capital Investing
In addition to our special situation investing, we also invest in established companies that are poised for growth or expansion. Capital is used to fund working capital, invest in new assets, or enhance management. While we do not provide seed-stage capital, we consider any investment where a track record of profitability and growth has been established but not fully developed.
